Let it be know that I graduated from Killeen High School in 1977! Go Roos. I am sure this rant will shock some of my fellow, former classmates -- but I have to do this!
Let it be known that the death penalty was instated in Texas in 1979. That is the year of the beginning of the African-American genocidal Apocalypse in my state.
Texas ... the love of my dreams! I love you. That name - TEXAS - is the title of the southwest! Everything that I am inside -- my heart and my soul -- belongs to Texas! From the cowboy mystique to the Cowboys football team -- you know where my heart is.
Texas ... you ... goddamn it ... (the tears are in my eyes as I scream this) you shame me with your single- minded racist devotion to the genocide of the black man and your devotion to that bat guano crazy, lying bastard of a Governor -- Rich Perry! His mindless stupidity, and his willingness to sling bull crap infused mud at anyone he deems his enemy, makes you, Texas, just as dirty as he is. You have allowed yourself to be hijacked by goddamn redneck politicians who murder black men like me, month after month after month… and attack the civil rights of the women in the state.
Your punishment does not always fit the crime! Your poor denizens cry out every day and night for an end to the madness you have created. You have to be better than the 'criminals' you execute... and the shameless hatred you show to women in Texas!
Texas… you know that you have a history of railroading black men. You know that you have innocent black men sitting in your prison cells right now. That's a real shame. You also have a history of attacking women’s health rights. It makes zero sense to take away the places that give health care to women in the remote areas in the huge state of Texas!
George Bush is the man who cultured this bull crap Republican terrorism back when he was governor of Texas. He mucked-up the mindset of the white men and the white women running the Texas judicial system. He killed every black man on death row when he was Governor that he could… and that genocide continued after he left office. And then George Bush continued killing American men in another way as President of the United States of America. What a mass murdering motherfucker, he is!
Racist, anti-black redneck men who happen to bull crap their way into the Texas Governorship are still racist, anti-black redneck ass-holes who would rather kill a black man than try to figure out a way to salvage his soul -- if it, in fact, actually needs salvaging. It makes me wonder just how stressful it must be to be black and living in the Lone Star State these days. Its so goddamn sad.
And, these same Republican Texas white men would rather strip away the only health care options for poor women than make a way to salvage their health and give them the health care the deserve as American women… or women in general! What does it mean when Rick Perry talks about God when he is giving the same speech in which he is talking about his evil plans for closing down Planned Parenthood in Texas?
I miss Texas. I haven't visited my Texas since George Bush was first sworn into the Governorship. I won't go back until racist, white fools are run out of the higher governmental offices there -- especially racist white men who have the power to kill me at will if they decide they just don't like me. I realize that I will not be visiting Texas for a long time, because racist, anti-black redneck men vote the racist men into office to do their bidding. Guess who gets screwed over during this vicious process -- NEGROS, LIKE
ME! And white women, like you!
500 people have been murdered by the Texas state killing machine since 1979. Its a goddamn shame. The European Union, of all the strange places to become involved in an American problem, at one time pleaded with Texas to stop the state sanctioned murder madness. Can you believe that shit? Believe it!
This Republican Texas madness is long past simply getting out of hand. And I can't write any more words on this subject. This is just too much sadness to continue contemplating! I have to go now. I have to bury my face in my hands an weep for a moment.
But before I do that, I must say this… Texas, you have a beautiful, intelligent, caring, smart, overly qualified Senator named Wendy Davis who has SHOWED you she cares for you, women of Texas! You better reward her next year by axing Rick Perry and giving his job to her! You need her… she doesn't need you. But, she obviously wants to give herself to Texas in a way that she can directly change your lives for the better.
Rick Perry has destroyed the image of Texas! Texas, like North Carolina and Arizona and Virginia, is a political bad joke right now. Imagine how beautiful it will be when you proclaim -- Wendy Davis, Texas’ next Governor. That sounds good, doesn't it.
You know, maybe I won’t weep right now. I just made myself feel too good to cry. Make yourselves feel even better with your vote in a few months. And maybe, I’ll feel safe enough to return to Texas. I miss my Texas and I want to go back to visit my old high school. Oh well… maybe one day… soon.
Goodbye!
